Designing Cartoon Characters for Kids and Adults
Thursday, May 14 at 2pm

Do you love to write and draw your own stories? Everyone has a story to share with the world. The art of cartooning holds endless possibilities for developing your own style of drawing and storytelling. This workshop for kids (8+) will demonstrate the fundamental tools and techniques used by professional cartoonists to create comic stories. Taught by Enoch Davis (designer, animator, and Otis instructor), students will complete a cartoon character of their own design that is ready to be featured in their own comic stories.

Artist In The Kitchen: Volcano Salsa with Constance Hockaday
Friday, May 15 at 6pm

Flexibility and improvisation are the hallmarks of many brilliant artists and all brilliant chefs! Students will virtually join Chilean-American visual artist Constance Hockaday in her kitchen as she prepares her famous Volcano Salsa while discussing her philosophy on cooking and how it overlaps with her approach to making.
