Great news! SMMUSD announced on Thursday, September 3rd that all students in the district can continue to receive free meals, whether or not they qualify under the free and reduced lunch program. This update is thanks to an extension of the USDA free summer meal program.
The extension will continue through December 31st, 2020, or until available USDA funding runs out.
What does this mean for your family?
Students can pick up a free grab-and-go breakfast and lunch Monday – Friday, excluding holidays, from 7:30 – 9:30am. In Santa Monica, students can go to any of the following schools:
- Santa Monica High School
- McKinley Elementary
- Will Rogers Learning Community
SMMUSD families may go to any of these schools, even if not enrolled there. The student doesn’t need to be present. A parent or guardian may pick up meals for students.
Adults wanting to purchase meals may do so for $2.75 for breakfast and $4.75 for lunch.
If you or your child are sick, please do not come to school.
