We’re excited to announce the start of Lincoln’s 1st Annual Food Drive!
This November, the PTSA is spreading awareness for Childhood Food Insecurity in our school community. We feel that EVERYONE should have enough to eat and we want to help make that happen.
Did you know?
Chronic undernutrition in early life is linked to reduced schooling, poorer cognitive skills, lower earnings and a higher likelihood of living in poverty. 62% of teachers in America notice that students in their classrooms are coming to school hungry and hungry students cannot learn. Children facing hunger are twice as likely to repeat a grade in school!
What we’re doing about it
The PTSA is running a Food Drive for the entire month of November. We’re putting together special holiday feasts for those students and their families who are facing food insecurity this fall. We’ll make as many Feast Boxes as we get donations for. Our target is 50 Feast Boxes and we need your help!
How you can help
You can support our Food Drive by donating money, gift cards and/or food.

There’s more exciting news – Lincoln’s Food Pantry!
Did you know that students experiencing food insecurity at Lincoln can take advantage of the PTSA Food Pantry program, where they can get a backpack of food to take home on weekends?
We’re excited that this year Robbie Sikora has agreed to be the exclusive sponsor for the Food Pantry program! Thank you, Robbie!
