On Monday, November 30th, students and families are invited to log into a virtual, live, docent-led tour of the Holocaust Museum of Los Angeles (HMLA) from 1:15 pm – 2:15 pm.
Students will get a link in their ELA 8 Google Classroom for this event. This heavy and important educational experience will help students see and better understand the historical context of their Anne Frank reading.
On December 1st and 2nd, 8th grade English classes will also have the opportunity, in partnership with HMLA, to be in Zoom class with a guest Survivor. This person will share her/his witness of survival during 8th grade ELA classes.
Parents, you’re invited to watch along with your child if you’re available. Our annual day with Survivors is the 8th Grade English Department’s ongoing and personal commitment to bring LMS students stories of determination and hope, in spite of despair. We hope you can join in one or both of these events.
