Calling all scientists! Discover more about the 2020 Nobel Prize-winning breakthroughs of two UC women professors – Wed 12/16 at 9am

Please note: these are not official Lincoln or SMMUSD resources, but items parents are sharing with parents.  Please have your child check Google Classroom for their official work from their teacher.

Join the discussion with UCLA Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Emily A. Carter as she chats with two UC professors who were awarded the Nobel Prize in October 2020 for their scientific breakthroughs:

  • UCLA Professor Andrea Ghez won the Nobel Prize in Physics for her discovery of a supermassive black hole in the center of our galaxy.
  • UC Berkeley Professor Jennifer Doudna won a Nobel Prize in Chemistry for her work with genomes.
