Care about the environment? Join us for a live streaming of 2040 – Wed, 3/3 at 6pm

Presented by Santa Monica’s Office of Sustainability and the Environment and Sustainable Works, 2040 is a film that looks at solutions to how we can mitigate global issues such as the empowerment of women and girls, marine regeneration, regenerative agriculture, and renewable energy.

A live panel discussion with the films’ writer & director, Paul Hawken, will follow the screening.

Art contest

Did you know that Sustainable Works, along with the City of Santa Monica’s Office of Sustainability and the Environment hosting a Student Poster Contest?

The 13th Annual Contest is open to all K-12 students who attend school and/or live in Santa Monica. Each year, students use art to investigate a theme of sustainability relevant to Santa Monica. This year’s theme is For a Thriving Planet, We Can Agree, Healthy Ecosystems & Biodiversity Are the Key.
