Important: Complete SMMUSD’s school reopening survey by 5pm on 12/6

The district would like input from parents, teachers and secondary students on proposed reopening models, and is requesting that each complete a survey about reopening preferences. The survey deadline is 5pm on Sunday, December 6th.

Why is the district sending out this survey?

The district has gathered input regarding reopening for the past few months through meetings held by the district and school sites, as well as through emails sent to the Board of Education, district leadership team, principals and the Let’s Talk portal.

Based on these conversations and messages, the district has developed models for reopening. The district would like parents, staff, and secondary students to answer a few questions and share preferences about which model you think the district should return to, once we are in a less restrictive health tier, as directed by LA County Department of Public Health.

There are separate surveys for parents (Child Development Services to 12th grade), middle and high school students, and all staff.

How will the survey responses be used?

Your feedback regarding reopening will inform the Board of Education. The Board of Education will approve one reopening model at their December 17th meeting.

What‘s the survey link?

Parent (secondary) survey   (Grades 6-12)

Parent (elementary) survey  (Grades Preschool-5)

Please submit one survey per student.

The survey deadline is Sunday, December 6, 2020 at 5 p.m.

Thanks for taking the time to complete the survey.
