SMMUSD is also requesting feedback on your family’s experience of Distance Learning this semester. This is a different survey from the Lincoln school survey (the link for the LMS survey is here).

SMMUSD continues to provide grab-and-go bagged breakfast and lunch to all students under the age of 18.
Service is Monday through Friday from 8-10 a.m. at four schools: Samohi, McKinley and Will Rogers in Santa Monica and Webster Elementary in Malibu. SMMUSD families may go to any of these schools even if not enrolled there.
Please stay home if you are sick.

Your feedback, whether positive, negative, or somewhere in between, is very important and will help LMS make improvements to the distance learning program.

We are all disappointed that we can’t send our 8th graders off to high school with all the pomp and circumstance we typically would.
However, we are putting together a slide show for the students that we will share electronically. Each student will receive a copy of the promotion program with all their names and their official promotion certificate. Additionally, we will be setting up a “Congratulations 8th Graders” banner outside of the school so students can take a picture in front of it.
Our goal is to do all of this in conjunction with students returning their textbooks during the last week of school. Students who ordered panoramic pictures will also be able to pick those up at the same time. Any 8th grade student who ordered a yearbook but did not get it mailed to their home will be able to pick them up at that time.
We will send out more information with the dates and how to sign up for slots after we finalize all the logistics.
Non-8th grade textbook return and yearbook information will come soon.

The last School Site Council meeting of the year will be on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 3:20pm. The agenda and Zoom meeting details are posted on the school website.

Each year, the PTSA presents Honorary Service Awards to those parents, teachers and staff who have made extraordinary contributions to our school, our students and our community. The mission of the PTSA is to positively impact the lives of all children and families. This year’s recipients of the Honorary Service Awards do that every day.
