What is the Lincoln Fun Run?
Fun Run is an annual tradition that raises essential funds for Lincoln’s amazing PE program and other PTSA initiatives. Our students enjoy lots of different activities as part of their PE program because of YOUR support.
When is it?
Fun Run usually takes place in the spring semester. Students participate by grade level at different times throughout the day.
What do students do?
Students run laps to get healthy exercise, and in between times they get to try out different fun activities. Think a Human Foosball Arena, a Rock Monster Climbing Wall, Relay Races, Tug-of-War and more!
Does everyone participate?
Yes, the Fun Run is open to all students, including ISPE students.
So, what about donations?
The Fun Run is an important fundraiser for Lincoln’s PE department and for other PTSA initiatives. Families, friends and community sponsors donate whatever amount is comfortable and we appreciate any amount you can donate. We encourage everyone to donate upfront so that the Fun Run event can be a celebration of a variety of outdoor activities rather than just the traditional “run”.
Students are not required to donate in order to participate, but there might be a minimum donation amount to qualify for raffle prizes and top fundraisers might get bonuses like prizes and early access to the field activities.
Can I help?
YES! Come and join the fun! The Fun Run relies on a LOT of volunteers. We’d love your help planning the event and/or helping things run smoothly on the day.
