Parent Project is a FREE program that helps teach parents and caregivers the skills
necessary to manage behavioral challenges in teens. Led by mental health providers in
collaboration with the SMMUSD Family Engagement Office and SMPD Youth and Family
Services Support Coordinator, this program is geared for parents and caregivers of teens (12 &
up) who:
Feel overwhelmed, stressed or guilty
Are confused about how to deal with challenging behaviors
Want to improve their relationship with their child
Struggle to create and maintain structure at home
May have difficulty showing love and affection
